Fashion: Jimmy Choo For H&M

Style shoppers scrambled for the Jimmy Choo collection at H&M but were the sandals at dawn all worth it?
The Jimmy Choo collection was billed by H&M as the ultimate party wardrobe and they're not wrong there. It is party glamour all the way bringing together this seasons key trends: sequins - check, leather – check, jumpsuits – check, faux fur – check, should pads – check ... and the list goes on.
So not only it is the ultimate party wardrobe it is the ultimate capsule to this season's trends.
When I went to H&M at the weekend I was surprised that I wasn't fighting off swarms of fashionistas desperate to get their mitts on a grey suede one shoulder dress for £149.99 (also available in black leather) but then I looked to my right to see a queue of girls crowding around a cordoned off area trying on stunning skyscraper heels.
With one item allowed per shopper the Choo shoes had to be the first point of call. But with so much to Choo-se from – gladiator sandals, ballet pumps, thigh high boots and platforms – how do you decide. I love the grey suede peep toe shoe boots (left) for £99.99 – they'd look great with skinny jeans or a little black dress. But if you are after something a little more colourful then the red strappy sandals for £69.99 would be a timeless addition to your shoe collection. For some serious party feet you can't go wrong with the shiny blue high ankle heels for £79.99.
My picks of the Jimmy Choo clothing collection are the sequined cardigan for £69.99 which quite simply sums up this season's love of sequins and would look fab with any party outfit. The black jumpsuit is a real classic piece and at £39.99 it is one of the cheaper items in the collection. With a nipped in waist it opens itself up to endless opportunities to make this piece your own with different accessories – go for all black accessories for the ultimate sophisticated all-in-one or clashing colours to take it right back to the 80s.
My Jimmy Choo splurge would have to been the backless electric blue
suede dress (right) for £149.99. Totally simple yet purely stunning. It could prove really versatile: stick with the simplicity by teaming with a pair of killer heals like these high healed studded sandals for £79.99 or go all out with a bling belt for £39.99 and animal print heels for £79.99.
I usually find the H&M website a frustrating experience – unable to buy online or see everything that is available to buy in the shops – but it is definitely worth a visit to check out the Jimmy Choo collection as it tells you what items are sold where.
Whatever you choose whether it's shoes, accessories or clothes you won't be disappointed – it's definitely all about Choo.
