Our tips for keeping cosy and look cute at the same time
Brrr. Is it just us who got a big cold slap in the face by winter last week? We've got something to help keep you toasty. Following on from our winter warmers feature on coats, this week Whisper Mag is bringing you an edited selection of the cosiest winter hats on the high street to keep you stylishly snuggled this season.
What's winter without a slouchy beanie? Head to ASOS and grab their ribbed oversized beanie, from £7. This chunky knit with its gorgeous soft rib will keep you snug and hold your locks in place until your ready to shake them free, a la L'Oreal. Plus, it's perfect for that relaxed, off duty-model look, too.
Next up, head to Warehouse for their handknit cable beret, £14. Add a touch of Parisian chic to your winter wardrobe with this beauty of a beret, complete with cable knit and a dose of French fancy to boot. And, apparently a beret suits everyone – handy hat hint, non?
Pop over to River Island next for their panda beanie, £12.99. We featured this in our Kit Yourself Out a few weeks ago, but it's too cute not to mention again. We're not sure where to start – the pom pom panda ears? The adorable little face? The fact it makes us want to dress as a panda all winter? We love it all, every last bear-like bit.
Go back to the Russian Revolution with Miss Selfridge's faux fur cossack hat, £18. This fab fox-like hat won't only keep you mega warm, it's super stylish, and a great way of adding a little luxe to winter's wild wonderland. It's far chicer than those trapper hats, too.
If you're not hung up on hats, head to Urban Outfitters and grab their triple corsage headwarmer, £18. It doesn't offer quite so much heat as a full on hat, but still promises to keep your head warm on those miserable mornings, and with that cute corsage detail, we think we're onto a winner.
Finally, we've got winter's must-have item: the snood. Another gem from the 80's has resurfaced, and we're welcoming this one back with open arms. Head to TopShop and pick up their superfluffy snood, £14. To be honest, we were sold at the superfluffy part, but this snood is gorgeous, isn't it? In a creamy camel colour, wear this wonder as a stylish scarf and as it gets colder, pull the back up over your head to keep cosy.
Now all we need is an open fire and a hot choc, yum.
