The five biggest songs out to buy as MP3s this week
Jade Ewen – My Man
The newly assigned member of the Sugababes (place your bets of how long she lasts now) brings us something a little different to her recent Lloyd-Webber written Eurovision entry. Standard big beats and house synthy rap-R&B, with a world of silly over-the-top vocals - basically, it's a bit three years ago.

Ian Brown – Stellify
To start off with, 10 points to whoever knows what 'stellify' means?! But then it's not unusual to have no idea what Ian Brown is on about so on to the track: great little driving Rhodes piano sample that, along with the very straight up drums, gives a hopeful kind of momentum to the track. Standard Ian Brown fare with nice little horn breaks, Stellify nothing new but it's got a good feel that'll no doubt solidify it as great dancefloor fodder.

Black Gold - Breakdown
Brookyln's Black Gold are getting all the right hype, but are they just another band with the right management and none of the imagination? In the same vein as last week's Hockey, Black Gold have fused a load of very fashionable ideas, however, unlike Hockey, they are obviously tuned in to what's going on. Unfortunately they still come off sounding a little contrived.

VV Brown - Game Over
VV Brown, the singer-come-model-now-back-to-singer is er, back, with her new single, Game Over. The first thing that springs to mind is a female Will Young; lots of soul, big orchestration and vocal breakdowns. The main differentiation (apart from the whole sex thing) is style, but Game Over is a bit overkill. The production is very in-your-face and tries to do too much, resulting in a bit of a pop-soul mess.

Lady Gaga - LoveGame
With an atonal chorus that invokes Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick in more than lyrics only, this one's pretty forgettable as far as Lady Gaga is concerned. It's all about (physical) love in the spotlight of fame, with the beat being standard Timbaland ripoff. There is a distinct taste of 'third-rate' on this single, and it'll be long forgotten by the time Poker Face still draws a crowd to the dancefloor.
