Fashion: Shoes, Glorious Shoes

Fed up with flip flops and fancy feeding your footwear fetish?  Well how about grabbing a pair of seriously spiked glamour heels.  These beauties give us inches and inches of extra height, look traffic-stoppingly stunning and come in every colour of the rainbow – and more.

Which gives us an ideal chance to brush up on our physics ... what was it now, Roy. G. Biv?  Well no matter how you did in your physics GCSE, you don't need much science to figure out the high street's hottest heels: it's a fairly simple equation ... see + want = buy.

These scarlet shoes are the ultimate in glamour heels.  They are £54.99 from Schuh.  The cut out shape gives them a real 80s feel and the red suede makes them even more sassy.

I love these orange zip shoes from TopShop for £55.  Not quite as tall as the others but the heel is a fab shape and wearing these would give you a break from the skyscraper heels.  These would add a real edge to any outfit.

Cutting a cuter footwear figure are these Ted Baker yellow round toed sling backs, available from Office for £50.  The bow makes them even more cute; they'd look great with a 50s style floral dress or just simply with skinny jeans.

The quilted effect used on these green stilettos (£20 from New Look) is usually found on handbags but I think works wonders on what is a simple pointed high heeled shoe, the colour is fab too.

Back to some more fierce looking footwear and what could be more feisty looking than these blue suede shoe boot strappy platforms!  They've got every design feature going yet still manage to look simple and very stylish.  They are from Aldo for £75.

Faith seems the place to go for foxy purple shoes with these indigo strappy platforms, £70, and these violet court shoes with an ankle ribbon, also from Faith, and also £70.

There you have it – shoes for every colour of the rainbow. Now we just need an occasion to wear them to!
