What's new this week?

Tiny Masters of Today - Real Good
Firstly I think it's important to point out Tiny Masters Of Today are a 13 and 11 year old brother/sister duo from Brooklyn. Secondly it's important to point out they are awesome! How kids so young know how to write perfect indie-pop songs is beyond me. Genuinely well put together, with a smashing lo-fi sonic edge any (much older) band would be jealous of.

Enter Shikari – No Sleep Tonight
Enter Shikari are basically a bad late 90s post hardcore band with really expensive synths, obviously appealing to a generation who forgot about bands like Glassjaw and Cave In. No Sleep Tonight would be bearable if it didn't mix in pop cliches like key changes and weak metal breaks in a way akin to spoiling your mashed potato with skimmed milk.

Little Boots – Remedy
Did everyone forget that one of the best English pastimes is laughing at how terrible Europop is? Well it seems that in reality, it was the future - and now everyone's doing it! Little Boots has shamelessly joined the bandwagon and plastered obvious pop hooks and manky synths over everything. Great tune till the singing and the drums come in.

Kasabian – Where Did All The Love Go?
Where Did All The Love Go? sounds like Peter Bjorn and John and an annoying Mancunian with his arms permanently waving behind his back trying to write a song for a Quentin Tarantino film - but the Mancunian's waving arms keep accidentally pressing play on somebody else's song.

Arctic Monkeys – Crying Lightning
If you can imagine Arctic Monkeys' previous records like being at school with a load of indie and baggy kids, then Crying Lightning is like they've made it to university and Queens Of The Stone Age and Syd Barrett are the cool postgraduates. Arctic Monkeys are growing up and they've got really good fuzz pedals! Check out the video below.
