Come with us for a trip down memory lane...

The school bell has just rung. You pick up your bags and race out the classroom to the school gates where your mum is waiting for you. You have got your fingers crossed behind your back in the hope that she will grant all of your wishes at once. She turns to you with a big smile and does just that... Yippee! It’s sweet shop time!

And we’re not exaggerating either. That was exactly how it was.

Back then, our worlds were filled with Sherbet Straws, Zappers, Flying Saucers, Candy Necklaces, Whams, Edible Paper, Sherbet Pips and Dib Dabs. And that’s without even mentioning the penny sweets that actually used to cost a penny! The highlight of our day – week, in fact – was taking a sugar-coated trip to our local sweet shop, pointing at the sweets we wanted from the endless number of jars that were lined up behind the friendly sweet shop man, and then staring with excitement as he weighed out our tasty treasures.

Feeling nostalgic? We thought so.

Do not fret though. A Quarter Of – an innovative retro online sweet shop – will take you back to the good old days with a simple click. Gone are the days when you wonder when Haribo came in and Rainbow Drops went out. You can search for all of your old favourites in the handy search box or browse through the categories, which include, Penny & Fun, Chewy & Soft, Space Dust & Sherbet. This website allows you to be naughty, but oh so very nice, behind closed doors.

Once you’ve found your faves, add them to your shopping basket and get them shipped so you can start enjoying them! The prices even seem to be retro too and once you’ve made your order, all you have to do is wait for your perfectly packaged parcel to arrive on your doorstep. This site is great for spoiling yourself rotten this Christmas (they even have some sparkly Christmas goodies!) or simply using it as an excuse to be a big kid...again.

Whatever you do, let your inner child out by clicking onto www.aquarterof.co.uk ... you won’t want to grow up.
