It's wrapping up for winter time - do it in style in this week's outfit
Right, it’s official. Summer has well and truly said goodbye. No longer can we flutter around in tiny tees and hottie p’s (hot pants to the rest of us). Instead, it’s a struggle and a half to leave the warmth of the duvet to brace the big wide (wet and windy) world. There’s not much we can do about the weather, but what we can do is try and bring the sunshine into your lives through our favourite items of clothing which are suited to this time of year. Brrrrrriliant.
We’re sure you know by now, but shoulders are a big thing for the winter season. But before you reach for some circa 1982 shoulder pads, remember less is more. Structured shoulders is the aim, and Miss Selfridge has achieved this perfectly with their range of oversized sleeve dresses. You can choose from indigo, black, mocha and denim (we prefer the latter) for a bargainous £22.
But make sure to accentuate the shape further with a thin waist belt, such as this gold chainmail one from New Look for £6.
Lace tights are one of our personal favourites at Whisper Mag, and as we’ve believe that the best place to pick up stylish, affordable and long-lasting tights is Marks and Spencer, we’ve headed there to grab their Perfect Rose tights for £6.
One trend that we are glad is here again for this winter are shoobs (a hybrid of shoes and boots, for anyone not in the know). We love ASOS’s Tabitha shoe boots, which come in a multitude of colours for just £26.
Finally, it’s time to pull on your winter coat; our favourite on the high street is definitely Topshop’s Red Riding Hood-esque duffle coat for £80.
Surely this adorable outfit is the next best thing to being allowed to wear your PJs and duvet to work?
