Let us introduce you to a member of 'The Brit Pack'
Does the name Marcus Foster ring a bell? No? How about Robert Pattinson? Well Marcus Foster is one of his friends, but even without the famous friend connection he would still be recognised as an amazing singer/songwriter.
The 23 year old London born singer has just released his first EP and has had a lot of recent media attention due to his musical input in the Twilight movie. The song Let Me Sign that was performed by R-Patz himself on the official soundtrack was co-written by Marcus Foster and Bobby Long.
He is also in a gang now known as ‘The Brit Pack’ that is made up by Rob and his 4 BFFs - all musically inclined, all British and all gorgeous. However Foster is not becoming a famous friend hanger on, he is out touring America already even before he has an album released, or even recorded. He is playing all over the US through August promoting the recently released self titled EP, although he has been reported stating that he would love to perform the song Let Me Sign with Edward Cullen himself.
His music is very folk, acoustic, bluesy stuff that has a new life pulsing through it with his unusual but delightful voice. On the EP there are tracks such as Kiss is a Knife and I Don’t Know which show off his great guitar skills, brilliant voice and beautiful lyrics.
The music this guy is producing is showing the best of British right now, and with the song I Was Broken, which is my personal favourite, is showing how his music is relatable and multi-faced. There are two version of this song one by the man himself, which is more upbeat and coherent that the version done by his famous friend. The lyrics and feel of this song is just breath taking and one can wait and get excited for the eventual release of an album.
Watch this space - not only for vampires and werewolves - but for some very good British music.
