Newcastle's getting a reputation as one of the UK's hottest party destinations, and a new girls-only club is now making it one of the most innovative as well.

Although it’s not designed as a girl-centric rival blokey strip clubs, Sugar Lounge in Newcastle will only let ladies through its doors – and the only men will be those serving the drinks (although they will be topless).

It offers pole dancing lessons, burlesque nights and Ann Summers parties, with a strict ‘no boys allowed’ policy. You can also expect to see a heart shaped double bed and the David Beckham pictures on the walls. Yikes.

We’re not sure if we like this idea – sounds like the kind of place jealous boyfriends would want to send their girlfriends to, and the pheromone levels might get a bit excessive - not to mention the sexism of it!

But then again, if you want a guaranteed night away from sleazy blokes trying their luck, it might just be the answer.
