The question is - are you laughing at him or with him?

Like a drunk uncle at a wedding you don’t want to be at, Conservative London Mayor Boris Johnson was his usual shambolic self at the Olympics handover ceremony on Saturday.

Love or hate him, it’s not hard to see why he attracts headlines – his crumpled suit, his peroxide hair, his awkward flag waving. It’s like The Fast Show never happened!

By 2:20, this footage goes a bit mad – Boris starts banging on about killing animals, makes a very controversial comment about Chinese ping pong, and generally ad libs and waffles his way through a speech in front of an audience of millions. Even his aides in the background can’t stop laughing…
